The relationship between adiposity parameters and hsC-reactive protein values in overweight and obese women
Aleksandra Atanasova Boshku, MD, PhD, was born in Skopje, R. Macedonia in1975. She graduated in Medicine in 2001, specialized in Medical Biochemistry in 2008. In 2017 has defended her PhD thesis “The role of adiponectin, leptin and resistin in women with polycystic ovary syndrome, and their correlation with insulin resistance”. She is the head of the Department of Laboratory Diagnostics at the University Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetric, Skopje, R. Macedonia.
She has been/is active involved in several research projects, participated in many professional national and international meetings and congresses, as a lecturer and as a member of organizing and scientific committees. Her main research interests are in the field of lipid metabolism, adipokines, inflammation, obesity and metabolic changes in the reproductive period of women. She is the author and co- author of more than 60 articles focused on hormonal diagnostic, inflammation, adipokines and markers for preeclampsia.
